Compare total cost for your actual plan
For a new subscription, think about how many billing periods you realistically need and whether you want other titles there. Compare that total with the exact seasons you would purchase. Include discs, delivery and any equipment you would need when considering physical ownership.
Do not assume one month is enough for an 89-episode watch. Equally, do not buy a full collection if you only need a few episodes and can already watch them through a plan you pay for.
Make sure you can finish the story
The original series has six seasons and 89 story episodes. Some stores divide the longer seasons into two ten-episode parts. Compare the contents of the actual offer rather than the number of tiles in a store.

Vikings: Valhalla is a separate follow-up. It is not a seventh season or evidence that a service includes the original show. If your search results mix them, match the 2013 original and its first episode, Rites of Passage.
The five checks before you pay
- The right title. Vikings (2013), rather than Valhalla or an unrelated documentary.
- The right episodes. Your required season, all episodes and any second part. A “from” price may refer to one episode.
- The right entitlement. Included subscription viewing, an add-on channel, a rental and a purchase are different offers.

Does buying season six mean I have the whole final season?
Check the episode list. Season six has 20 story episodes, and stores can sell two parts separately. A ten-episode offer is only half of the story season, whatever label the store uses.
What does digital ownership mean here?
It is access under the store’s account and service terms. Check device support and download rules before buying; do not assume the purchase is a transferable video file or a gift for another account.
Which is cheapest?
There is no universal answer. An existing included subscription can avoid a new purchase; a new subscription depends on how long you keep it; digital and disc costs depend on the exact seasons and edition. Compare your complete viewing plan using the current checkout totals.
