About Josefin Asplund
Josefin Asplund plays Astrid in Vikings. Her Swedish and international screen work includes Pernilla in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Sonja in Call Girl and Rebecka Mohlin in The Circle. Television roles include Johanna Månsson in Conspiracy of Silence and Emily Jansson in Top Dog, giving viewers options beyond Astrid’s place in Lagertha’s circle.
Top Dog is a useful first choice for a sustained television role. The Circle offers a different genre setting, while Call Girl is a route into her earlier Swedish film work. These choices help viewers follow Asplund as a performer instead of searching only for stories that resemble Vikings.
